Prowl Slip Past Rebels

In their second consecutive road game of the Florida Basketball Association season, the Tampa Bay Rebels came up just short as they were defeated 99-102 by the Heartland Prowl. The contest was competitive from the tip, with the teams exchanging leads several times throughout the course of the game. The Rebels were able to pull away in the third quarter by playing solid defense and converting scoring opportunities in transition. Tampa Bay, however, struggled from the free throw line, hitting only 14 of 29 attempts, and committed several key turnovers in the fourth quarter that allowed the Prowl to get back in the game.

Shun Watson had 20 points and 7 rebounds for the Rebels, while Matt Kendrick posted his second straight double-double by scoring 19 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. Tim Ware scored 19 to go along with 6 rebounds, and An'juan Wilderness finished with 13 points and 5 rebounds.

With the win, Heartland improves to 1-0, while the Rebels drop to 1-1 for the season.
