Rebels' Kendrick Signs Contract With Mexican Club

After winning the 2012 Florida Basketball Association Championship (FBA) with the Tampa Bay Rebels, center Matt Kendrick was signed to play in the Liga Estatal de Basquetbol (LEB) in Mexico. Matt will play for the Choriceros de Camargo, located in the State of Chihuahua. This is Matt's second international stint, as he was previously hired by Sokol de Antofagasta of the Chilean professional league.

With the Rebels, the seven-foot Kendrick posted 17 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks per contest. His best overall performance came June 16, 2012, against the Florida Flight when he posted a triple-double with 21 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 blocks while hitting 9 of 12 shots from the floor. Coach Rojas commented, "The LEB is a good choice for Matt. He will be able to help his club and keep developing his game."
